In the beginning of 2022, fresh off completing my bachelor’s in industrial design at QUT in Brisbane, Australia, my adventure began. Eager for new experiences, I set my sights on an internship opportunity in Munich, Germany. However, fate had other plans, delaying this chance, and prompting me to consider alternative paths.
Within months, I secured remote work as a Junior Industrial Designer and ventured into freelance projects with both companies in Australia. Empowered by this newfound flexibility, I took a leap of faith, booking a one-way ticket to Munich, Germany, with no fixed plan in mind.
The Early Days:
Stepping into the world of solo travel for the first time, I was fortunate to have a friend in Germany, easing my transition into this exciting chapter. Munich welcomed me with its breath-taking beauty and awe-inspiring experiences. Yet, after a couple of months in the city, my desire for remote work and exploration led me to Berlin, where I spent the following months, securing a one-year working/travelling visa.
My Journey and Future Plans:
Currently, my European journey continues, taking me through vibrant cities in Germany, Denmark, Poland, Czechia, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Greece currently. Opting for brief stays and spending a month or two in different cities, I navigate the balance between work and adventure. At 23 years old, with a thirst for new experiences, I remain open to exciting opportunities, refusing to tie myself down to a fixed path. I eagerly anticipate the thrilling adventures that lie ahead.
